Save the Date: Open House December 4th, 2010
Posted by Olivia on Wed, November 10, 2010
On December 4th, we have a very special day planned at The Olive Press. To commemorate the yearly Blessing of the Olives ceremony, and to kick off the Sonoma Valley Olive Season, we are holding an exclusive Open House. Complete with food, oils, and gifts, this promises to be a full afternoon of sampling and learning. With the holidays right around the corner, we invite you into our house for a pre-holiday celebration.

10:00am to 5:30pm
The Olive Press

Enjoy our freshly harvested olive oil and olive oil products. This is a rare chance to taste Olio Nuovo, our freshest pressed olive oil, and it always goes quickly. Truly an unforgettable experience. To complement the oil, we’ll be sampling our other extra virgin olive oils, tapenades, cured olives, and flatbreads. And one of our fearless founders, Deborah Rogers, will be pressing oil all day, so pop in and see first-hand how the magic happens.
Handmade cruets and personalized holiday gifts. Local artist Lisa Ryman, creator of our popular handmade cruets, will be on-site showcasing and painting artisan cruets many available just for our Open House Event. Giftable cruets, signed and dated, will be accompanied by martini glasses, salad bowls, and other artisan gifts unique to this event. These are the special things that make memories for a lifetime.
Culinary lavender showcase and sampling. One of our favorite local artisans and culinary lavender producer will be offering a tasting menu of delicacies made with our wildly popular culinary lavender items. Menu includes lavender artichoke frittata, cranberry-apple crisp with lavender cookie topping, lavender brownies, and lavender honey butter—all free to sample while supplies last.
