Last-Minute Father’s Day Gifts
Posted by Olivia on Sat, June 11, 2011
Fathers’ Day is next weekend—have you gotten something for Pop yet?
If you’re on the last-minute prowl for something for your father, check out our page of Father’s Day gifts for some olive-centric solutions. We’ve got something for every dad out there, ranging from oils to mustards and grilling skewers to pickles. Every guy has his own preference for food, so we put together a no-fuss gift guide for all the dads out there.
The Grill Master:
This is the guy who just can’t wait until summer, when he can finally throw on his BBQ-stained apron, bust out the coals, and get to cooking some meat. Equip him with the serving ware he needs with our wrought-iron serving pieces, where you can choose from skewers, ladles, and salad servers. For the steak kebabs going onto the grill, our new grilling sauces are an absolute must-have—they’re all he’ll need for marinating! And for slathering on grilled sandwiches, brats, and dogs, get him any variety of our gourmet mustards, which are full of heat, spice, and savory olives. The Grill Master will be set for the entire season.
The Foodie Father:
This guy thinks about what recipes he should try out next on his drive home from work every evening. He’s experimenting with new oils, spices, and cuisines like it’s his business, and he’s always up for a new restaurant on the weekend. For starters, surprise him with a jar of artisan pickles unlike any he’s ever had. Made by Unbound Pickling, these varieties are sure to impress him: Pickled Beans with Cajun spice; Walla Walla Onions with balsamic & rosemary; and the outrageous Bacon Pickle (yup, it’s real bacon!). If he’s a man of the spice (and most dads are!), he’s going to fall in love with our “Some Like It Hot” set—it includes our pepper-infused Olio Diavolo Olive Oil, our new Smokin’ Hot Mustard, and our Spicy Green Olive Tapenade. And for the Foodie Father that always needs the absolute best, “The Grand” set is just the ticket. As assortment of our most popular and highly rated products, the set includes our “Best of Class” Limonato Olive Oil, our Master Blend Olive Oil, a gorgeous olive oil cruet, and our Olive Press Flatbread and Tapenades. This one will win over his entire foodie heart.
The Entertainer:
This is the guy who lives to have friends over, whether to watch the big game, to throw a block party barbeque, or to invite the family over for a weekend brunch. Above all else, this dad needs our “Party Essentials” set, which comes with our Italian Herb Dipping Oil and two of our favorite tapenades. Add a few glasses of wine, some flatbread crackers, and fresh fruits, and the noshing platter for the party is all set. But he’ll also need something to display his olive oils and balsamics for when the guests arrive, and no regular bottles will do. Get him a pair of our customer-fave Dachshund Cruets and just wait for the Ooo’s and Aah’s from your dinner guests as they arrive. And for the drinks, no Entertainer would have a complete display without a proper martini, so get him a bottle or two of Pure Sonoma Olive Juice for all of his mixing needs.
Check out more of our Father’s Day gifts online here, and be sure to give Pop something that he might even cherish more than the new polka-dotted tie you got him last year.
