Gourmet Mustards Released!
Posted by Olivia on Fri, April 29, 2011
Just in time for spring’s outdoor dining season, our line of gourmet mustards has arrived! These are brilliantly-flavored mustards with real citrus, herbs, spices, and of course—extra-virgin olive oil!
Dijon Olive: Inspired by the countryside, this Dijon is full of Mediterranean ingredients: black olives, kalamata olives, white wine, and extra-virgin olive oil. We envision packing this mustard in a picnic basket with a crusty baguette, block of cheese, and bottle of wine, and cruising down the coast for impromptu seaside dining. Not that adventurous? Try it over your fave meat deli sandwich, added to creamy and cheesy casseroles, and stirred into a fresh pasta sauce.
Meyer Lemon Wasabi:East meets west in this citrusy-spicy mustard made with real wasabi powder. Meyer lemons give it just enough fruitiness and zest to make for one palate-pleasing mustard. It’s got just enough of a bite to cleanse the palate without overwhelming your “hot” taste buds. Enjoy this over spring foods, like stirred into a sauce for crisp asparagus, added to creamy artichoke dip (or mixed with our Artichoke Tapenade!), and added to your fave tuna or salmon salad sandwich.
Smokin’ Hot: Alright, folks, this one is really hot! If you’re a heat-lover, this chipotle pepper-infused mustard is for you. We love it straight out of the bottle for spicy sandwiches, but it’s perfectly wonderful rubbed over meats and fish, whisked with lime juice for a marinade, or blended with mayonnaise for an outrageous veggie dip.
