Coming Up at the Sonoma Valley Olive Festival

As we speak, we are in the middle of The Sonoma Valley Olive Festival, an exciting three-month-long celebration of all things olive. The Sonoma Valley Visitors Bureau has put together an incredibly helpful, informative guide to the festival and I wanted to share some of the upcoming highlights with you.
Here's what's coming up throughout the rest of January:
Olive Oil Education with Albert Katz and Festivities at Junipero & Co
January 22, 2010. 5pm-7pm.
An evening of Olive Oil Education and festivities with Albert Katz, one of the founding members of the California Olive Council. Albert will give a lively presentation on the history and future of the California olive oil industry. Enjoy olive oil based hors d’oeuvres prepared by chef, Jacob Lovell, and local chef Stephen Viguerie, Sonoma County Wines and live music from Michel Saga. 10% of sales to benefit the Sonoma Valley School Garden Project. Feast of the Olive Dinner at Ramekins Culinary School
January 23, 2010. 5:30pm-10pm. $150 per person
Eat, drink and exalt the enchantments of Sonoma’s famed green fruit at this year’s Feast of the Olive. The best local chefs, winemakers and olive oil producers pair up to prepare unique 4-course feast for each long, candlelit table of guests.
